Baby shopping problem.. need to vent

I'm so frustrated and I cant take it anymore.  Okay first about 4 months ago, I found the perfect set of a car seat and stroller combo, pack n play, and swing. It was perfect from the second I seen it.  We didn't want to get it too early so we decided to wait.  Then we were about ready to order it, and it was out of stock.  So then a couple weeks later I find the same collection at Walmart, so we drive 30 minutes to our nearest super Walmart, and they don't have it. It was replaced by a new line.  Ugh!!  Okay so we get home, and look online and they have the Car seat and stroller combo and the swing in but not the pack n play. So we just decided that wed order those two, and wait for the pack n play to come in later.  So I start ordering it and putting our credit card numbers in and stuff.  Then its almost done and it comes up and said that our address we used doesn't match the address on the credit card.  Because we just recently moved a month and half ago.  So I go to fix that, and everything disappears and is messed up.  I checked the bank account and the money was taken out, but there is no proof that we made the purchase on the website. so I was so confused, me and my fiancee started fighting, I started crying like usually cause I'm so emotional.  Then I call the hot line for the website to see what happened.  She said that its just like if you prepay at a gas pump with your card, it shows up on your account, but doesn't go through yet, its called an authorization pending transaction or something. And that the purchase didn't go through, which makes since cause I know I didn't finish the transaction.  So she said that our money should be back in there in 3-5 business days.  And then we can re order.  Its so frustrating.  That lady better be right cause I cant take any more of this crap. And I know even if shes not right, she has to refund us our money or send us the stuff or that's considered stealing, right?   So I changed the address on our credit card. So when it gets put back in there were gonna try it one more time. If it doesn't work out I'm going to give up.  I feel like it wasn't meant to be, like were not meant to have that theme.  I want it so bad, its so perfect and I love it.  I hope it works out. if not I'm just gonna tell my fiancee to go get whatever he wants, cause I don't want to go through it again. And that would be a bad idea, cause his taste *****.. So please pray for us that things start to work out for us.

I'm sorry they "charged" you, yet your order wasnt placed. That is very frustrating and has happened to me before. =(   Hopefully it will still be in stock when the funds are released back to you. Hang in there. And honestly, when we are pregnant we are sooo emotional about everything.. Just take a deep breath, and remember, it's just a pack-n-play, stroller, etc.. I know you love them, but it isnt the end of the world. =)

Have you checked on e-bay? Sometimes they have brand new items and are less expensive. Just a thought! =)  Good luck

I know that Target sells several Graco pack n plays.   I see several ones that are blue that are similar, but not sure if it is the exact one you want.  Good luck.

Ooo. I saw that up at Meijer's when I was maternity clothes shopping. There was of course nothing left but the display. I thought it was really nice because of how the design was.

yea Ive been everywhere, and I didnt want anything Winnie the pooh, I dont like him lol... And mines not cartoon or anything its just a Graco blue and brown design. its beautiful.  which is probably why they cant keep it in.. lol.. But thanks

Have you tried looking at somewhere like Sears? I don't know if there's one near you, but DH and I decided to go with a Whinnie the Pooh stroller/car seat combo and pack n play, and that's where we got ours. I don't know what other designs they have, and it has been two years since we bought it, but maybe they have something you'll like there?

I know how you feel when I was pregnant two years ago I found the perfect set also. They discontinued that design right before I found out I m/c and I really wish I had bought it still. I can't find anything close to it that I like this time and have no idea what I'm going with. I'm only 12wks and don't want to buy anything until I find out what I'm having. I want to go do the gift registry but don't want to go through the problem of things being discontinued by the time my baby shower rolls around in May.

Most banks will drop a pre authorization in 3 days. I deal with this alot at the hotel I work at sometimes we have guests get so pissed cuz we pre authorize there card for the whole stay at check in and they decide they want to use a different card or pay cash and they think were charging them twice.

im sorry your havin to deal with this..im sure thats so frustrating, stuff like this puts me in a bad mood so fast!! just try not to stress out too much...i know your getting down to the wire and you wanna have your things, but like the lady said that money will be back in. its babysrus, they're huge, so im sure that they deal with these issues a lot. and if something goes wrong and you don't get a refund on your credit card, you can always call back..they HAVE to give you your money back...but im sure once you get it back you will be able to get the theme you want. hopefully it won't be sold out then too. just try not to stress yourself out and just give it a few days. i'll be prayin! :)
