Back pain/heaviness when standing (19W2D)

I work about 6-10 hours a day, standing, all day except for maybe 20 minutes out of the time, and even after an hour or two my back starts hurting and I get a lot of pressure & mild cramping, is this normal or something I should be concerned about?? I'm a small girl, but it feels like my baby is extremmmmely heavy to me and he's not even a pound yet!

Thank you! I've had enough problems already! Pre-term labor shouldn't be added to the list! Congratulations on the baby by the way! :]

Oh yes, you should not be on your feet that long at all! What kind of work do you do? You need to request a new position or ask if you can sit with your feet propped. Your feet are going to start swelling, if they haven't already, as well. Which can lead to a condition that causes pre-term labor.

And of course your large, heavy uterus is putting a ton of pressure on your lower back. Yup, you definitely need to be sitting.

On the flip side you cannot sit all day long. You have to stretch your legs and get circulation going of course. So there needs to be a healthy balance. Listen to your body- it will tell you when it has had enough and needs rest.
