i am 38 weeks pregnant my iron level last week was 8.3 they gave me blood infusion on monday but it didnt work blood level is still 8.3 and i feel very weak and strange

what did your doc say about this?

can they induce you early? can you take iron supplements?

if there isnt much they can do, hang in there you are considered full term and your baby can come any day now....hopefully you have started dialating...

You will feel that way because of your blood counts being so low.  Your blood helps carry the oxygen around to your body so since you have a decrease in your red blood cells your body is not getting enough oxygen and is feeling tired.  Plus add pregnancy to that and it's even worse for you.  Are they planning on doing another blood transfusion?  How many units did you get?  They will probably try at least one more (if not more) to get your red blood cell counts up before you deliver.  Are they keeping you in the hospital for now?  I hope they can get your blood counts back up.  Good luck.
