Been bleeding for 4 weeks after medical abortion

So basically, i had a medical abortion done 4 weeks ago. First week i was bleeding quite heavily, the second and the third week it reduced but in the 4th week i started bleeding really heavy again, and i been passing really massive blood clots. I was also on the contraception and as they finished in the 4th week i started bleading loads. Can this be normal? Should i go to my doctor?

I had my termination at 22 weeks, Because one I didnt know I was pregnant and 2 I was seriously ill and couldnt keep the baby. But anyways, I only bled for 2 days and then formed a massive clot in my stomach. But got my period EXACTLY on the day it used to be on!

Everyone is different, so if you want to feel free to go back to the doc!

I agree that you should go back to the doc...after my abortion three yrs ago, i bled heavy clots for a lil bit, then my period came so i bled longer and had more clots... i was 11 weeks so since i didnt have a period really i got confused when it was due..so when i thought i was bleeding more then usual it was actually my period, i bled for about two weeks and spotting a lil more after that .... even my next period the following month was kind of clotty.. but thats my story...yours may be differnt and im not a doc so if you feel for any reason that waht your seeing is not normal then you need to see the doc asap!

good luck

Might be your period.

And or the Contraception. You should be going for a follow up exam regarding the abortion!
