Being sick

So, I am 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and I have some horrible congestion along with a cough and high fever, does anyone know if there is something safe for me to take?

Consult not insult your doctor. Sorry for the spelling mistake this phone has a mind of its own sometimes :)

If you are not sure about meds to take while pregnant I would insult your physician, different docs reccomend different things they feel are safe. Another suggestion would be to go on the FDA website. They have an up to date list of meds safe in pregnancy. Congrats on you baby!

Paracetamol is the only thing safe to take when you're pregnant. This is similar to Tylenol if you live in the US. Try hot drinks too. You could try dissolving some menthol crystals in boiling water and leaving that in the room with you, or some vapour rub which can help with congestion too. Just take it easy and rest.

You can take tylenol for the fever and aches... rest, plenty of water(stay hydrated) drinking hot lemon water can help....
