Sorry it took so long to get back on here...but thank you all so much. Idk why but it makes me feel better when I hear advice from other people (and personal experiences)!
Oh, and Mumita, what I meant by "water test" was that after, not before, we use the condom, I test it to make sure there were no leaks. I know that by then it is to late to prevent sperm from leaking out, however, if I ever found a leak (I have actually never even had one leak), I would still have time to go and purchase Plan B bc I think that EC is still effective up to 72 hours after intercourse. Its just a precautionary thing I do I guess.
Either way, that really doesn't matter bc I have never had one leak lol.
But thank you all again for your help!!!
IF you wanted to do another thing/form you could use spermicidal foam...but you always worry way too much...my husband and I are high school sweethearts and for the last ten years, we only relied on my birth control...I know birth control/the pill isn't 100% effective but it worked for us AND then when we started trying to have a baby, we obviously stopped the pill and we had intercourse near/on my ovulation days so the sperm could purposefully meet the egg etc. and it took us 7 months of purposeful trying to get pregnant...your chances are so slim of getting her pregnant it is like nonexistent =) Take it easy and don't stress!
Its awesome that you are being so careful. However If you do leak tests on the condom with water you may be rinsing off some of the spermicide that comes on the condom, which kills sperm. If I were you, I wouldn't stress so much because just pills and condoms are usually enough to avoid a pregnancy. Condoms are great and safe not just for preventing pregnancy but also for preventing the transmissal of sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms usually come with this lubricant, what makes them kinda greasy that kills sperms and also kills some diseases like HIV. Just learn the proper way to use a condom, don't get them wet before you use them and make sure that the condoms that you buy are not expired.
I think the fact that you guys are using three methods is awesome! If you wanna up your chances even more buy a spermacide, which I believe you put in the condom, not sure but you'd have to read the bottle of it!
I honestly think you have nothing to worry about! As long as non of the condoms haven't leaked, even if you don't finish inside there is precum that can possibly get her pregnant, BUT if there is no leak in the condom, then no worries!
3 methods of prevention is far better than one! I'd say take a deep breath and don't worry!
You are going to worry yourself to death! Yes, pregnancy is always a possibility, but if you practice all three birth control methods and your gf takes her pills like she should, then I personally do not see how she can become pregnant. I think you are safe not to worry every month.
Take care!
