Thank you ladies for all the ideas to think about.
I did the nuva ring beofre I got pregnant I didn't like it. I hated that I had to put it in on my period and I just felt gross I know have the Mirena and I love it.
There's also nuva ring. You insert it sort of like a tampon and it stays in for 3 weeks and out the 4th week, like the pill. It releases hormones only to your uterus not your entire body. I've heard good things.
I was on depo after my last baby. It was safe while breastfeeding, lasts three months so easy to maintain, no messy or complicated things to do and no implants. It was the perfect choice for me and I had no weight gain or anything.
Ill have to look into those, i havent ever heard of either but it'd be nice tp have something i wouldn't have to worry about trying to remember to take.
Have you heard of Mirena IUD or the paraguard IUD? They are t shaped implants. The paraguard is non hormonal and stays in for 5 years unless you want it out. However you can't get it until 8 weeks after birth I believe. But your not supposed to have sex until 6 weeks pp anyway..
Yikes I'll be careful while breastfeeding then!
I never thought about the condom being too small...hmm...something to look into.
Be careful! I was breastfeeding and taking that pill and now I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second haha
Not meaning this in a mean or rude way, but maybe he needs a bigger condom if they keep breaking. Which is a good thing for you I suppose lol. But if you can find other means of birth control that'll work then by all means go with it, as long as you're in a monogamous relationship.
Good to know, thank you ladies.
There's lots of safe birth control to use while breastfeeding my Dr gave me a list but I lost it lol ask your Dr at your next visit
We've had very bad luck with condoms...lol. I dont know why we have. Thats how i got pregnant this time around (broken condom) lol. But if all else fails...
Could always use condoms. .....
And the depo shot lasts for 3 months
You can actually get the depo shot in the hospital after u give birth and still breast feed..
The hospital prescribed me the pill after I gave birth to my son last Friday and I'm nursing. I think it's more to help balance your hormones back out cause as soon as you have the baby it puts your hormones to an all time low. I'm not sure if there's anything other than the pill because I wasn't asked of I even wanted it. I'm getting the IUD when my stitches heal. But you can ALWAYS ask your doctor!
