Birth story :)

Well this is a bit late but been a busy mummy my daughter was born on 4th August at 22.21 by induction. I was induced by pessary on my due date the 2nd August at 6pm and was having contractions from about 8am on the 3rd, i have had contraction like pains for the last 2 months of my pregnancy so didnt think much of it the contractions carried on and the pessary was taken out at 6pm on the 3rd where they found i was still only 1cm dialated although my cervix had come right to the front and i was 100% effaced so they said they had to wait until the morning to put in another pessary to dialate me more so they could break my waters. So at about midnight i asked for some morphine as i couldnt sleep with contractions coming betwen every 5 and 7 minutes. The next morning they found that i had dialated to 3cm on my own so i could get my waters broken when there was room on the labour ward i waited around contracting again still between every 7 and 5 mins still thinking if i was in labour the contractions would be getting worse and closer together so not thinking much of it. My waters broke at about 8pm on there own i let the midwifes know and they didnt think much of it thinking i was still quite early in my labour but by about 9pm i was in alot of pain and asked for morphine so they did another check but found that i was already 9cm dialated so had to rush me through to l&d where i was to late for morphine but ready to push i used gas and air in the labour and an hour and a half later rachel ellen mcculloch was born weighing 8lbs 9ozs and very healthy :)
