Bitten by a puppy

This morning, I was bitten by a small puppy that has no vaccine yet and received Tetanus Toxoid this noon time. I'm going to have rabies vaccine this afternoon but I'm looking for some helpful information on the net before having that. I'm concern if that will harm my baby. Anyone, can you please help me. Thank you.

How big of a bite was it? Broken skin requiring stitches? Is rabies prevalent in your area? Was the dog possibly ever exposed to it? Did you talk to the healthcare provider about being pregnant? Rabies isn't something you want to contract pregnant or not but definitely tell the Dr you're pregnant and discuss the safest route for you and your baby...

I would just get it cleaned up and protected from infection. Infection is all I would worry about. Easy to get and dangerous. Also pretty easy to avoid so keep it clean. You got bit by a puppy not a bear. When I think about the delicacy of the woman's child bearing body I think about Sacagawea and toughen up lol!

Bit by a puppy... You are most likely okay. You'll know if something is wrong. The human body was made to endure....

Sorry dreamaamama but you're wrong. You can look it up on the CDC website.  Please please please talk to your Dr and don't just follow wrong advice because some chick on a website says you're fine.

I agree with Dreamaamama, the puppy doesn't have rabies.  Don't get the shot :)

As long as the dog is not infected & you clean your wound it should be good
