Bleeding at 6 weeks.

Hi all.
I found out quite early that i was pregnant. Im currently 6 weeks and last night i noticed quite a bit of blood in my underwear. When i went to the toilet a small clot fell out. There was no more bleeding after that. I went to the doctor just to make sure but couldnt get into my usual gp. She told me to go home and relax and not to worry and to go to emergency department if the bleeding continues. I asked if it was possible for an ultrasound or something to see if the baby was okay but she told me its too early and i needed to wait.

Lets just say i didnt get much sleep last night and although I've read a few posts saying that some bleeding is normal i cant help but stress and ive been a crying wreck.

When i woke up this morning there was no blood. Although i went to the toilet again before and when i wiped there was  quite a bit of blood on the paper. This morning I've been getting quite a few cramps and sharp pains on the left side of my tummy and although so far in my pregnancy i havent had any morning sickness i feel like im going to vomit and that i need to be sick.

Whats everyones thoughts/opinions. Do i just see how i go with the bleeding or go back to the doctors and see whats up?

It sounds like a miscarriage if you saw a clot.  But I'm praying everything is fine

Sorry girl i dont mean to scare you but sounds like a miscarriage ask for your hcg levels to get checked to make sure they are increasing at this point the baby is so small that a blood clot of any size is not normal also if when you wiped it was bright red or pink like fresh blood is also a red flag for miscarriage dont wait go to another doctor or hospital to see if they can do a vaginal ultrasound they should be able to see something if not hcg levels can tell weather the pregnancy is progressing or not
