Bleeding at 9 weeks

Just to tell you about myself I am 20 years old with no serious medical conditions other than asthma. I am currently in my 9th week of my first pregnancy. I saw my obgyn at 8w1d the embryo had a fetal heart rate of 180 bmp, dr said everything looked right on track. Went to use the restroom yesterday and had bright red blood on toilet paper, not enough to soak through a pad. After the first wipe, there was no more red blood however it has turned to brown blood/discharge since then. Its not soaking my underwear or causing any discomfort during the day, and is mostly only noticed when I use the restroom. The Dr. didnt have many concerns with it when I called, just scheduled me for and ultrasound in 5 days and had me come in for a RH shot. Also I have not had any intercourse in the past week, but have been experienceing mild menstrual like back pain and cramps during the pregnancy. No cramps while bleeding but still having backpain. Is this a case of a miscarriage or is it something I shouldnt be worried about??

Joy said if perfect. It does not always mean miscarriage. There are so many women (myself included) who bleed in early pregnancy and they cant explain is most of the time.

You should be able to get more answers at your ultrasound. Good luck!

Bleeding does not always mean miscarriage. It could be a hematoma, something with the placenta, a vaginal tear, etc. Won't know  until the sonogram. I'd also ask if your doctor could check your progesterone levels to be on the safe side. If they're below 20 I'd request supplements.

Other than that I think you're doing all that you can do to prevent a M/C from happening. I wouldn't worry about it. Try to rest and keep your feet propped up, drink plenty of water, too.
