babys bowels

Just went for my 20 week scan and found out that part of my babys bowels are outside the body, anyone been threw this? Not really sure what to think

Everything else has developed well just the bowels, was in 2 much shock to think of questions tbh but now ive so many lol. They never said about a c section but if it makes things easier

Pretty scary . You should research it , I seen  a baby born on a TV show with this condition and yeah they'll do a surgery to put te baby's bowels back in the body.

What about the babys development? And probably you will have a c section then... guess you should write a list of questions to ask!

My friend gave birth to her daughter who had most of her organs on the outside of her body. She had to go through a few surgeries but now is a happy, healthy bouncing little one year old. It is a scary thing but your little one will pull through! Keep positive. :)

Was just told when the babys born she will have to get surgery but havent got any other information really

Have u taken your scan to your doc? Hes the only one who can tell u for sure...
