What does this mean?
The doctor I saw today wasn't really telling me anything. Which pissed me off! But she I wasn't dilated but my cervix was beginning to soften... What does that mean?
Well, you will get checked at every appointment after this one. I was dilated to a 1 at 36 weeks and a 3 at my next appointment. Was induced at 39+2. They didn't tell me much either. You are basically just waiting now.
It doesn't really mean anything. When your cervix begans to soften, it's easier for you to start dilating. The last few appointments are pretty quick and to the point. There isn't really much they can say. If she is starting to check and there is no progress, what can she say? how far along are you?
