Sperm near the end of your pregnancy can help your cervix prepare for birth

Congrats hon but I had to remark.

@dizzy_Lizzy I'm very curious to hear who told you that? I do hope they were joking considering that sperms only purpose is to fertilize an egg. Any birth defects or miscarriages comes from the mother and fathers health and genetic history.

If sperm caused miscarriage and birth defects our species would probably be extinct.  Baby is in a amniotic sac with ur cervix (usually) closed and a mucous plug to keep anything including infection out. Semen will only help soften ur cervix but NOT induce labor unless baby is ready in a normal pregnancy

The baby is fine. Like the above posts said sex is safe and sperm won't get to your baby.

@dizzy lizzy I've never ever heard of sperm causing defects and miscarriages. Did your Dr say that? Just curious.

Your baby is inside a sac of fluid which is sealed inside your uterus by your cervix, nothing is getting through to it and sex is safe during all stages of pregnancy it will not cause you or baby any harm

The sperm will never reach your baby, your cervix is sealed off and baby is well protected
