Breastfeeding question.

I'm exclusively breastfeeding and for the past two days my breasts have been soooooo sore. They feel really heavy and a bit achy but not engorged. And it's my breasts not the nipples. They get more sore when I do bf and they hurt to the touch. Has anyone else experiened this or know of something I can do to relieve it. I almost want to cry whenever I feed my baby.

Putting cabbage leaves in your bra is supposed to help DRY up your supply, so I wouldn't recommend doing that. Try taking a hot shower and just letting the water run over your boobs.

Thanks shirano. I'll do that.
Blakbeautiee,  Im absolutely certain that she's latching on properly but thanks for your tips. I haven't tried the hot shower yet and I've never heard of cabbage leaves.

Yes I've had that problem too. With ,my first and second child. I called the health department and hospital back to ask for help. They told me that I was starting to get engorged. So they told me one way to relieve that pain was I think putting cabbage into my bra, because the cabbage is supposed to absorb the pain. And another was to pump the milk. And the best results to relieve pain for me was to take a hot shower to get rid of some of the milk. Oh and they also showed me the right way to breast feed. Your nipple, and areola (dark part around nipple) is supposed to be in your babys mouth all the way. Hope this helps! Enjoy motherhood
