Breathlessness

Hi all. I'm currently 36w1d. I know breathlessness is common in pregnancy, even in the third trimester but I've had it so bad.. All I did was fold some washing and I felt like I had run a marathon. It's been constant lately, simple tasks like getting dressed, getting the mail sometimes even drinking quickly make me feel like I've done so much. Like I said, I know it's normal.. but surely it's not this bad? :( especially know that bad is out of breach and lowering down, midwife said I should be able to breathe better but I don't. I also get bad 'menstrual like' pain lately but obviously with no bleeding. Could they be possibly be connected? Is it something I should be concerned about? I will probably mention it to her at my next drs appointment but just wanted other mummys opinions :) they seem like common normal things for pregnancy but I'm just a little worried as a Ftm :) Tia x

@jmstb , thank you heaps! I find it's mainly when I drink something, doesn't matter if it's fizzy or something as simple as plain water, I just breathe heavily. Hopefully it settles soon but if not I won't stress because that'll probably make it worse x

I don't think you should worry , I'm getting induced next Friday but I was just like you throughout most of my pregnancy (ftm too), even sometimes just getting out of bed I would feel breathless. I don't think there's anything seriously wrong it's just that our bodies are going to changes and use up more energy so we get tired easily. I think you'll be just fine though  (:
