Broken water?

I am 5 weeks 2 days pregnant.... Today I went to eat with my aunt and as I got out of the car I noticed my underwear and pants were soaked but I did not urinate on them. There was also a smell to it in which is tough for me to explain... Could my water have broken? What happened?

In early pregnancy your body produce a lot of discharge n it can be in different forms... Its only recommended to keep an eye on aminotic fluid from second trimester... As other lady said theres not much of a fluid at such early stage.. As you just started to form a sac n baby is only 1.3mm... At early stage you only need to worry abt bleeding spotting cramping etc...

I still get a "watery" discharge that has an odor and I'm almost 21 weeks, doc says its fine, so it may just be a pregnancy thing! :) good luck!! I found out at 4w5d and it goes by soooooo quick!! :)

You don't really have much in terms of amniotic fluid at 5 weeks as it is too early. If there was something wrong with the pregnancy then signs would be severe cramping and/or bleeding but you don't really have any waters to be broken. It would either be discharge or urine.
