similar thing happened to me I was 8 weeks but because we were TTC I knew exactly how far along I was and had a positive HPT 10 DPO so there was no "it might be to early" for me. But they checked my levels to see approximately how far along I was and to see if they were rising/doubling or decreasing. I would get some bloodwork to be sure about whats going on before you opt for a d & c. Don't let them rush you in to it. I insisted to get another ultrasound a week later but the sac hadn't even grown any it was only measuring 5 1/2 weeks and I should've been 9 weeks at that point. I had a yolk sac both times but no fetal pole.
Things don't sound good but I would get bloodwork to determine if you really are 9 weeks or if its just to early.
Hi. I had the same thing happen to me about three years ago. I had some pregnancy symptoms then they just stopped. I went for three ultrasounds and the dr said that the baby just stopped growing. Called it a "Missed pregnancy" My LMP was 8/22/09, but I have no symptons. I am a little scared. Dont think I could take another miscarriage. (I had two already)so best of luck to you. Please keep me updated.
hum, at 9 weeks you should be able to see something. Was the sac measuring at 9 weeks?
My first pregnancy ended in a blighted ovum where the baby never formed, my doctor told me that I was still considered pregnant and if when i got pregnant again I needed to let the doctor know that i had a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage, But there was no yolk sac in mine.
It could be possible that you just ovulated later, no one can really pinpoint when they ovulated or how long after the ovulated it took to conceive i believe the sperm can live in you for almost a week.
Did they talk to you about a d&c or a pill to end it? Or are they going to schedule you for another ultrasound? I chose to miscarry naturally just in case!
I hope you end up seeing something and don't be discouraged if it doesn't work out in your favor, I ended up getting pregnant with this little guy who is now 24 weeks and very healthy!
