So I'm on the beginning of my pregnancy at 5wks+5days and it's very hard for me to sleep like I used to. Currently it is 4:46 a.m and I seem to be wide awake o.0 the weird thing is before I found out I was pregnant I used to be heavy sleeper and now it seems so difficult :(

Yes, I have the same problem. I'll be 13w tomorrow & ever since I've been pregnant I've had sleeping problems. I can't ever seem to stay asleep. I wake up about every hour or two then by 3-4am I'm wide awake until about 5 or 6am. I toss & turn all night, getting comfortable is about impossible, & I burn up all thru the night. I also have bad or crazy dreams. I'm really hoping this part ends soon because it's been a while since I've had a good nights sleep. Hope all you other ladies can get a good nights rest too.

I have been having problems in sleeping since half of week 4 and now I'm 6 weeks and 6 days. Try to use pillows near your belly. I can only sleep on my left side and with my belly up (not much because my back hurts). So yes, it normal. Your uterus is growing

Yup. Since I've been pregnant I can only sleep like 3/4 hrs at a time.

It's like we get into a routine before baby is here.

my midwife told me, I know they don't sleep in our womb, she meant the sleeping pattern we have whilst pregnant is similar to what we will experience when they are born.

I'm 19 weeks now and have been having issues sleeping since 8 weeks. I find warm milk helpnor a cup of decafinated tea or sleepy time tea (what it says on the box). Warm showers are nice to help you get relaxed before bed. Natural ways are better in the first trimester because of the development of baby but if you
are suffering like jada said take a tylenal pm.

Distorted mind.... Don't know where u got that from since babies do not begin to sleep until 17 weeks gestation . But for Powluhh, it could be just insomnia . If you can't sleep u can try a Tylenol pm or two .

Get lots of fluffy pillows and arrange them to make yourself more comfy that's how I slept

It happened to me, and still does occasionally. It's down to what could be your babies sleep pattern when they born apparently. Doesn't help with the bathroom wake up calls either. I would be in bed by 11 wake at 3/4 till 6 then awake at half 8 or ten. X
