CVS Testing

I have a genetic condition and actually went to a genetic doctor 3 weeks ago for family planning. Little did I know that I was already unexpectedly pregnant at the time. I swear she told me that I could do CVS testing at 8 weeks. I did some research and everything I saw said it is done at the 10-12 weeks.  Does anyone know when it is done?

Thanks. 10 weeks is better than 12 but I sure wish I could do it sooner, safely of course. It's hard to not be excited until I know for sure the baby will be ok. This is my 1st so I'm scared to death he/she won't be healthy!

they dont do it at 8 wks as there are complications to the baby when its done that early, I think the earliest its done is 10 wks
