Caffeine

I know it's bad to have caffeine, my boyfriend said that orange pop was safe so I went on my way and drank half quite a bit today; I read online and it said it has caffeine. Did I harm my baby? I'm 14 weeks. I'm drinking water right now as we speak because I'm afraid that the caffeine intake was too much. I don't do it everyday, today was the first.

I drank at least one caffinated beverage every day my whole pregnancy. Due on wednesday with a healthy boy. I think on the list of things NOT to do during pregnancy caffeine is pretty low in my book.

All the ladies are right with just limiting the amount you have! I've read up on it and the only they say is that your baby MAY have a smaller birth weight. Which isn't proven as there have been enough studies and that's a hard thing to state. Those women may have had smaller babies anyways

Sunkist orange soda is the only orange soda that I know of that has caffeine. Most generic brands of orange soda don't have caffeine and the big names like fanta and crush don't have any either

Coffee has been my biggest craving, mostly the smell of it. But 200 mg a day is the safest.

Two perfect, healthy babies later, I can tell you that caffeine in pregnancy is okay. Seriously. I had at least one soda a day, sometimes two a day. My first baby was 6 pounds, my second baby was 7 pounds. No complications with either of them. And I'm talking allllll Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper, no light sodas.

I would research what caffeine does to your baby I haven't had any caffeine since I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks most root beers and orange sodas have no caffeine but there is some of them that do even caffeine free drinks I would limit due to the excess amounts of sugars and sodium

It's safe to have 200mg of caffeine a day. Equals about 1 cup of coffee/soda. It's best to drink water when prego. Also remember caffeine is found in many things other than a cup of coffee. It's in soda, tea, chocolate, some candy etc. just pay attention. You didn't do any harm to Ur baby drinking Ur soda one day. Try to drink regular OJ, juice & water, with juice be careful if you drink too much w high sugar you'll just pack on the lbs. water is always the best way to go, add fresh lemon or fruit to add flavor.

I don't think orange soda has caffeine in it , just sugar. I guess I could be wrong though but I always thought it didn't. I drink caffeine in moderation :) my sister drank coffee during her whole pregnancy and my niece is fine!
