Here is what I noticed . . . I don't think your baby will be up anymore once born (although caffeine is linked to issues I guess and that is why doctors minimize it)but if you are nursing, you'll have to watch your intake. I DID find that caffeine and sugar made my newborn peppy if I had it. I gave up all caffeine when pregnant and then again once I realized this effect on baby. Also, when nursing, acid based things can upset babies tummy. So, really, you may alter your consumption once the baby is here and see it in front of your eyes what it does. good luck
I had coffee and drank dp almost everyday and my baby is 3 months. She has been sleeping thru the night since 2 months
The women in My family goes by u have to cutt back on caffeine while pregnant cuz if not yu'll have a hyper baby.
I think the diet coke is actually worse than tea or coffee, because artificial sweeteners seem to be linked to health issues in fetuses.
If you're having the equivalent of one cup of coffee per day, it's unlikely you're harming your baby, but 3+ cups of coffee a day has been linked to low birth weight and neurological disorders.
I don't think sleeplessness in the baby is a result of caffeine consumption during pregnancy, but other neurological problems like anxiety and excess adrenalin appear to be a problem.
It's more that they are worried about the side effects of caffiene that affect your baby. Yes the baby will be quite fussy after you give birth because of the caffiene but he/she will sleep. Too much caffiene could cause heart problems and temperament problems as well. Just something to watch out for.
Nope not true.
I had 2 sodas a day plus coffee and my daughter loves to sleep. You're allowed 200 mg of caffeine a day. There's only 42 mg of caffeine in a 330 ml can of diet coke.
I don't think that's true I had a cup of coffee a day and at least 2 Pepsis during the day and my baby girl sleeps all day and all night.
