Scared!!!!

I took an ovulation test july 26th,it was positive. I took another one July 27th ,it was negative. I then had a CT scan the 28th. I found out August 13th I was pregnant. I am soo scared I could have been pregnant when I had that scan done.I have read ovulation tests read positive sometimes when your pregnant. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the info! I did go to the doctor today and he said the scan would not make a difference and that everything should be ok. He also said my uterus wasn't enlarged enough to tell how for along I was so he thinks I am not far at at..so I am thinking it was after the scan when I got preg. I go back to the doc next week for an ultrasound to see if they can determine how far I could be!!

Well, did you happen to take an ovulation test on the 25th? You could've had a positive ovulation test on the 26th because you were catching the last part of ovulation. (you know ovulation is between 12-24 hours) I have heard that ovulation tests can be positive if you are pregnant. But HPT and OPK test two completly different horomones so I wouldn't read too much into that being a positive pregnancy sign. I have had OPKs test poitive just one day and negative the next so I don't think that's a big deal. And as for the CT scan if you were just ovulating on the 26th than the baby would be UBER small and still not implanted yet. So if you were pregnant during the scan I think that you would be early enough that the scan wouldn't make too much of a difference. But then again any radiation is bad radiation for babies. I'm not sure what to tell you other than ask your doctor what they think. I really wish you the best and hope everything turns out ok with your baby, and I'm sure it will! Try and stay positive and ask your doctor what they think to help ease your mind.

If it was positive one day and negative the next, you can be pretty confident that you were NOT pregnant. More than likely it did exactly what it's meant to do, and read ovulation. I wouldn't worry about it.
