I haven't heard gud about castor oil so I'd advise not to try it. And as for the other things I'm not sure anything will really help as baby comes when it's time :)

Please, for the sake of your unborn child, do not take castor oil. The last thing you need is aNICU baby because your own impatience. Just try walking, sex, swimming, bouncing on a ball, eating pineapple and drinking raspberry leaf tea. If you want tye same effect as castor oil, eat spicy food. That doesnt harm baby but does the same thing castor oil does.

I asked my doctor this actually and she said it was the worst thing anyone could do. She also said it was selfish and mostly dangerous. Just think about it IF you do try for it. You're baby is almost here, don't do something you might regret.

I always think of the story that I heard that a girl had explosive diarrhea while pushing. But I know my sister in law took it and to help the taste she made a castor oil cake. She also took castor oil with all 3 kids and the first 2 she was just sick from it and it didn't do much with the cake but she wasn't ready yet either.

I agree that you shouldn't try the castor oil. It can not only make you feel miserable and make your new home the toilet, but it can also get into baby's system and can poop in the uterus which isn't a good idea at all. I also agree that red raspberry leaf tea doesn't bring on contractions (I am about to be 39 weeks and have a scheduled induction and have been drinking raspberry leaf tea 3 times a day for three days and still nothing). Try exercising, bouncing on an exercise ball, definitely walking, squats, dancing, sex, and I have heard eating fresh pineapple could help too.

Red teaberry does not cause contractions or bring labor. It helps soften the cervix so that labor is easier. And castor oil is a very bad idea. If baby isn't ready to come, they could have a bowel movement inside you. you wouldn't even know it until you have birth, and baby would've been breathing in his own poop for who knows how long, possibly getting infections all because you wanted to jump start labor. It's just a laxative. Nothing to do with labor. Trust me. Try walking up and down stairs or bouncing on your bed

Please don't. It acts as a laxative and will have you on the toilet feeling miserable. Also it can go to the baby and the baby could poop and that's really dangerous. It works by causing intestinal contractions that can sometimes trigger the uterus to contract but it won't work if your body isn't ready.
