I have asked my mid wife and a few friends and they all say its fine. BUT make sure you keep the kitty seperate because they will climb in the crib or wherever the baby is to lick the milk off the lips so be careful. I have a kitten and it will not be aloud in my room where my son Will be for some time. Make sure you keep and eye on both too.
Oh, it suffocated the babies, sorry, i thought i put that in there.
I saw a story on the news once that cats have actually killed many newborns. They will crawl in the crib and put their faces inside the new borns mouths for the milk. It was the freakiest thing that I've ever seen. So just my personal opinion, heck freaking no lol
It is actually better, because the sooner they are exposed to cats the less likely they will be allergic. :)
Yeah just be careful ive also heard stories of cats/kittins laying on babies faces and also their chests and may suffocate them
As long as you keep the cat away from the babies crib. Cats have been known to lay on baby's faces (to cuddle) and end up causing suffocation.
Perfectly safe. Truthfully, the shedding isn't much of an issue anyway. The issue mostly lies in the allergy part. But otherwise it's a good choice.
It's a two sided argument there's the yes companions and friendliness then there's the hair and allergies it's really your decision at my house we have a golden retriever and a long haired cat not my choice but my fiances parents since we live with them at the moment but personally there are hypoallergenic cats and dogs out there if u want to be safe about it... But otherwise I think pets are a good choice for mommy and baby
Well, I've heard that since cats shed so bad it can cause respiratory problems for babies.
Yes of course just don't leave them alone together, kittens are curious and will scratch and babies are the same, curious and will pull tails lol
