Usualy the mucus plug is brownish in color, not yellow or green. Any time you have a yellow or green discharge, it is a sign of infection. Think about, anytime we have a yellow or green discharge from anywhere in our bodies, it's infection. You SHOULD call your Dr ASAP. I had the same experience with my daughter. My doctor told me it can go on as long as a week and not be any indication of labor. I would call the doc just to make sure they are aware of your situation.

I'm not sure if it is your mucus plug or not, mine was an orangish color.  I would color your doctor and let them know what is going on.  Have you felt the baby moving regularly?
