I suggest getting some blood work done to test for chromosones defects, also, some people dont think, but after the second m/c the dr should ve tested the baby you m/c's(the 3rd one) to see what was wrong with that baby. Sometimes women can m/c for simple reasons like having a folic acid defeciency. I would ask your dr to do test on you, and if you m/c again(hoping that would not happen) to have that baby tested.
What the other women stated above is also true. You can have a baby with a defect and teh second child be normal.
Good luck, keep us posted
it could be chromosome issues, but until you actually have your blood drawn you wont know for sure.. I had 3 miscarriages due to trisomy 14.. Im not 37 weeks pregnant with a healthy little boy. Some chromosome issues like everything said just give you a harder time having a baby.. With me my chances of having a healthy pregnancy are about 1/3. but statistics aren't always right either. If the trisomy was carried by dad then the baby would have a chance for a disease called prader willie. but since its carried by me the only thing that happens is i will miscarry everytime i pass on the extra chromosome.
Good luck and I would strongly suggest meeting with a genetic counselor.
It's frustrating that it usually take 3 miscarriages until they will look into what it causing them. I suggest making an appointment now before you get pregnant to discuss things with your OBS. Have they tested your prgesterone? some women don't have enough which can cause miscarriages. Also i would ask to see a genetic counsellor, so you and your husband can get checked out. The one thing i would suggest is if something did turn out to be genetically wrong DON:T find out which one of you has the gene, because you might down the road hold it against the spouse if you can't have children. That being said. Even if something did show up, there is still a chance that you can have a healthy baby. Sometimes you will have a certain precentage of the gene getting passed (let's just say 3/4), and certain things are more prominate in boys, you find out wyou are having a boy, then it goes to 3/4 but there still is that 1/4 chance you could have a baby that is affected by that gene....Does that make sense???and if you got pregnant with a girl then it drops to only have 1/4 chance. sorry if its confusing
I had a chromosone issue with my first pregnancy...it could've been inherited, but we werew able to do a amnio to find out it was just a fluke and i didn't have to go through the testing. a friend's boy was diagnosied with a type of musculer distrophy which was inherieted...they went through all the testing (it is more prominate in boys) when they got pregnant again they found out they were having another boy, but an amnio at 16 weeks showed that thier second son did not have the diseasse.
hope this helps

hi a miscarriage usually results from the baby having something seriously wrong with it and the body rejects it but just because the have ended in miscarriages before doesn't mean that you can't have a normal pregnancy!!! hang in there and keep trying!! good luck i wish you the best!!!
