Chicken pox

I'm 20+3 weeks pregnant and I'm in college at the moment one of the other girls came in and said her little girl has chicken pox so she can carry it in here. I have had chicken pox when I was a child but I'm worried I could get shingles or something because she can carry it! Is there any truth to this?

If you've had chicken pox you carry the shingles virus inside of you already. Everyone that's had the chicken pox does it just lies dormant. Some people get it and some dont. Usually older folks which is why when u hit a certain age they have a vaccine u can receive. Basically it goes if you haven't had chicken pox the shingles virus is already inside your body. If you haven't had chicken pox and your around someone with shingles you could get chicken pox from it not shingles.. Shingles virus spreads chicken pox to people who haven't had it.. It doesnt spread shingles
