Plus I picked up some wool sweaters from salvation army and made wool soakers.
@ tay yeah but they are separate not all in one. Let me find a link.
I got 2 12 pack of prefolds at babies r us 12.99 buy one get one half off. The econobum were 11.00 for one cover and three prefolds. . Its suggested to hang them to dry the sun bleaches out the stains. Wow that is crazy your dryer costs so much to run :(
Maybay^^ and are you talking about the ones that are cloth inside and have like a wetseal on the outside?
My washer and dryer are that ecofresh brand and 6¢ a min quick cycle is 25min so $1.50 in the washer a dryer is 8¢ a min and is 30min so $2.40.. things are so expensive here I mean the cloth diapers I could only find them at target and you got 5 for 17.99, and they like ranged in different sizes.. so the only way I could see them being cheaper is washing by hand and hang dry, unless you can get them cheaper somewhere else?
Ahh typo won't. Plus way less chemicals.
Not necessarily if you have a high efficancy washer it wint. Plus if you use prefolds and covers you can cloth diaper for under 200$.
Well if you machine wash them its basically going to be about the same $ wise as disposable diapers there's alot of ways to save on diapers though, if you go on huggies.com or Pampers.com I believe luvs.com top but they have coupons that you can use where diapers are like. 12¢ each instead of. 21¢ each
I have not used them yet but I am using them this time. There is so much info on cloth diapers. I personally am doing prefolds with covers. I purchased econobum to start with, and rockin green laundry soap.
I wish I could do cloth diapers. My mother had them with us for a while when we were little. I have to go back to work not long after my little one arrives and my mother will be watching my kiddo. I didn't think it right to ask her to deal with the cloth diapers. Make sure to get the rubber pants to go over them and honey use oxiclean or bleach to get them really clean and buy lots! Just remember you will be doing a lot of diaper laundry too. They are cheaper in the long run compared to disposable ones and that is the big thing for me but like I said I don't think I will get to use them with my little one. Best of luck to you and your little one.
