Coffee & Breast Feeding.

Just curious to any already mommy's that drink coffee atm while breastfeeding. How is your baby sleep wise and active wise? Fussy? The same?
I'm 32 weeks and if produce milk I plan on breastfeeding but I'd like to start drinking coffee again cause I know for the life of me I won't get any sleep. Before I was pregnant I only drank half a cup of coffee to wake me up and. I plan on only drinking half while breastfeeding but I still want to know how it was for you ladies!

My son's stomach would get upset if I drank it too close to feeding. As long as I drank it right after nursing or pumping so there was the max amount of time between consumption and next feeding he did just fine. I don't think I would have survived going back to work without my coffee!! :)

Thank you both for the input!  I will probably just wait a while before I start drinking coffee again and just stick to some good ol hot coco!

My son never had a problem with me drinking coffee while breastfeeding him. I had issues with drinking milk or any dairy so I had to cut out dairy but coffee didn't seem to have any effect on him. The baby should be fine:)

Yea because I couldn't get the energy boost from coffee I was always wanting sweet things. It was strange getting cravings after pregnancy! Haha

I was thinking maybe caffiene free hot coco could be used as an alternative to keep me up instead of coffee cause I was reading a lot Of mommy's had issues like that too with their newborns.  Maybe I'll wait it out and just drink hot coco.

I had to stitch to decaf. My son would get a sore stomach and loose bowel movement when I drank coffee. But that was only in the first 3 months. After that he was alright with it.
