It turned out to be heat exhaustion. I live in Florida with all the wonderful humidity. Turns out someone cut the wires to our outside air conditioning unit. I feel loads better now though :) even better than normal.
I agree with RockRose, tiredness is a normal part of pregnancy, but what your describing isnt normal, coupled with the swelling you really should get to your doctor and have a thourough check up as it may be the sign of something abit more serious
I understand the tiredness.. im still that way. if i sleep past 9am im even more tired i force myself to wake up sad part is i cant function through the day with out a sip of soda just a sip of soda and im good for half the day then i take a nap and good for the rest of the day..
You may be aniemic call your ob/midwife and let them know hun.. Good luck x
luxe, this is a problem.
Make it clear to your doctor all the things you put in the post above. Almost every pregnant woman complains that she's tired, but make it clear that you can't stand long enough to shower.
I don't know what's going on here, and it does sound like you're trying not to complain, but this is the time to complain loud and clear.
Best wishes.
I have cereal bars near my bed to hold me over until someone can help me. I had just enough energy to go to subway with my fiancé today. And we went to Walmart after to get me some juice and I was hanging over the cart after. Other than that I can get to the bathroom and get myself some water, but I can't cook anything except maybe a sandwich. I can't stand up for a shower. I end up sitting down and taking a bath and needing help up. I'm not trying to complain, I just want to get some more energy to get going and be healthier for my baby. Thanks for trying to help.
I didn't mean that to sound rude. I meant that completely from the heart. Your knees and legs are swelling, you're 25 weeks along, if you really can't get up to get food, it's a medical emergency.
Take this very seriously if it's really true that you are having an emergency situation.
luxejess, if you HONESTLY can't get out of bed to feed yourself, call 911.
I was at about 16-20 weeks. Then I realized the more I slept the more tired I felt so I forced myself to get up & get moving.
