Concerned

Hey Ladies, I have a concern/question for you.i am 15 weeks and I haven't been prescribed any type of iron, frolic acid or any of that other stuff, you're to consume during pregnancy. I've asked my dr and she said:" It isnt essential this far along in your pregnancy. Should I be concerned? I bought some prenatal vitamins and eat "gummy vitamins" but it still doesn't put my mind at ease!!

Huh... my Doc. prescribed me prenatal when I first found out I was pregnant she gave me 12 free refills, but she said that was the only thing I needed  and that's the only pill I've been takin' while eating pretty healthy and my son Is perfectly fine. Bagels are very good for Folic Acid, I eat those like crazy lol.

Thanks ladies.. I have been taking my prenatal vitamins, but not any iron or frolic acid! This is my second baby, but with my first I found out at 12 was and delivered at 23 weeks, also it was six years ago so it feels like my very first.. I will demand the iron and frolic acid on my next app.   Thanks again ❤

Your doc doesn't have to prescribe them they are over the counter meds, just take prenatal pills and my doc says vitamin B3 aswell, but i'm 25+2 and my doc doesn't prescribe them either just suggests them

It is necessary. I know plenty of women that don't even take prenatals. From what I know, the doctor doesn't prescribe that stuff but you can get it from vitamins. I've been taking gummie vitamins. I'm 25 weeks and this is my 2nd. If your taking them, your doing great! Don't worry.

Yea that's odd. Because at my first visit to the doctor she told me to start a daily prenatal vitamin right away. You want to make sure you are staying healthy and getting everything you need all through your pregnancy.
