Confused

I need some help. Me and my husband are ttc. I have PCOS, i've had this since i was 16 im now 24. Almost at the end of Febuary i started taking Metformin. But im not sure how long i should wait to take a pregnancy test. I've read alot of stories about people getting pregnant just by metformin. I was even told by a family friend not to stop taking the metformin she is also a nurse. I have been pregnant once before and miscarried at 8 weeks. Someone please help. I don't know how long i should wait. I know alot about the metformin just not sure about the test. Please help. Good Luck to all of you TTC.

Well Metformin doesn't get you pregnant but it can treat symptoms (such as hormonal issues causing you to not ovulate or produce healthy eggs) which make you more fertile. You should begin trying to find out when you are ovulating first and foremost. By knowing about when you ovulate you will know when to take a pregnancy test, which is 2 weeks after ovulation.

If you are unsure if you ovulated or could have conceived you should take a test 2 weeks after the last time you had intercourse.
