Relieved and excited!
So I am 40 wks + 5 days now. My due date was suppose to be Wednesday July 24, but no dice lol. Because I was overdue I had an appointment today to check to see how my cervix is doing. Still no dilation and the back is closed pretty good, although pretty soft. Because my cervix hasn't dilated and I'm overdue my doctor had to schedule and emergency ultrasound to make sure baby is okay and that the placenta wasn't getting old and is supplying baby with enough nutrients. Finally after all the appointments and ultrasound baby is great, they also confirmed were having a girl. Yay! Now I'm just waiting for Wednesday because I will be induced that evening so hopefully baby will be born late that night or on Thursday.
