Contractions...

Hi everyone I'm 38 weeks 5 days. I've been experiencing contractions between 6-8 minutes. Feel them in my back and  my stomach. I don't believe I passed my mucus plug unless I missed it and no bloody show either. This is my second baby. The contractions are feeling a bit strong like bad cramps then what I usually get from BH contractions. I am trying to wait as long as I can I want to avoid false alarms. I had 2 with my first son and 3rd time was the charm. I want to get as much rest as I can but it's kinda hard to get comfy. My next doc appointment isn't until Friday so I don't know anything about dilation, but he hasn't checked me yet. Has anyone ever went into labor without passing mucus plug or bloody show? I wonder if he's trying to make his entrance this week. My last son was 2 days late. I know about the 5-1-1 rule which is why I'm waiting to call my doc. Hmmm....

Thank you :-)... I lost my mucus plug with my first maybe I wont lose it. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on them. Just don't want to go and they send me home.

I never had a bloody show or had my water break with either of my pregnancies. My first i did lose my mucus plug but not with my 2nd. Labor isnt always what the text book says its going to be. If they stay consistent and get closer together id definitely go to l&d. Good luck keep us updated!
