Contractions?

Can your baby move during a contraction or while you are in labor? I'm not sure if I am having contractions or not. I feel like vomitting. I've had 2 contractions so far. If that's what they are. 1 of them was really painful and the other not so much. What makes me think contraction is my belly was hard like a rock. The thing is I feel my baby moving around. What do you all think? I'm 37 weeks and have no idea of dialation/progress.

I was in labor Monday nite n asked the same thing..I thought baby would be still, but he was very active the whole time...I actually didn't think it was labor because he was moving so much! Didn't go to the hospital until contractions were 3-6 mins apart!!! :-) lol

If you are dehydrated or the baby had a growth spurt it maybe fetal movement instead of contractions! I had that and when they hooked me up to the machine to measure the contractions every time I had the pain it registered as fetal movement and they told me I was dehydrated and he was going through a growth spurt in which he freaked out because there is not much room left in there! Almost like he was trapped..lol! I would down two or more bottles of water if it continues you should have it checked out! Seeing how you are 37wks!

some babies move quite alot during early labour and the go still when you have your contraction, then squiggle like mad afterwards until the next, others are pretty quiet the whole time, so it really depends on the bub :)
