In that case, try drinking water and resting. You could be dehydrated. If you keep getting sharp pains tell your doctor. I'm pretty sure that's normal though because I had sharp pains too about two days ago. I told him at my appointment and he checked my uterus to make sure I wasn't dialated. If you're concerned you should tell your doctor though.
If you're still having that pain you should go get checked out. Even if it is your crohns that's causing it, at least you'll know. I hope you feel better. :)
Wow,sorry I'm 30w3d not 39, phone issues. I wish tho!
Okay, the reason why I'm asking is bc I'm 39w3d and am 1cm dilated. I haven't really felt any bh or anything at all, but I have been having tummy pains. My problem is that I have crohns which causes pain. That pain feeling like a horrible horrible period pain and they can come and go. And normally make me feel like I need to have a bm. So, I googled contractions and a lot of women who have crohns were worried they wouldn't be able to tell the difference, now I'm worried.
You could, I mean I just thought I was having back pain all day. But you kind of know when something is wrong.
So, there no way you could mistake a contraction for anything else, right?
I had my 1st contractions when I was around 38 Weeks, I was sitting down and it felt like a really bad back spasm that lasted for a little and wouldn't ease at all :(
Did it really feel like a horrible period cramp? That's what I've been told...
I was 38 weeks. I had started getting really bad back pains that evening. It got to the point where I couldn't sleep, so my husband decided to take me to the hospital. When I got there, I got checked and was already dialated to 3. About 4 hours and three pushes later, my daughter was born. :)
