How can you tell the difference between Braxton hicks and contractions?
BH tighten your stomach and are not painful but they can be uncomfortable. If you change position or drink something they will go away. They cannot be timed. Real contractions get stronger and you can time them. No matter what they won't go away.
What above said ^ real contractions.... hard to explain but the very first I had when it came I just knew. It started in the back, radiated to the front grew in intensity and after about 30sec it slowly tapered off.
^^agreed but u can actually time braxton hicks my doctor told me if I get braxton hicks 3-5 minutes apart for a hour to come in I actually experience it Friday I was having braxton hicks all day but they were only 10 minutes apart exactly so she wasn't concerned but braxton hicks takes my breath away from the few contractions I've felt trust u will feel the difference lbvs
