Contractions

When u have real contractions can u still press in on ur stomach? Mine gets like hard but I can still press in. So are these just Braxton hicks? They have been painful like I had to curl up this morning and almost cry.

I don't attempt to push on my stomach cuz my BH contractions hurt and the closer to my due date the stronger they feel.
They are irregular and so I know they aren't the real thing.

Thank u for answering:) I'm sure it was not enough for labor they've just been getting stronger over the past few weeks iv been getting them.

Im sry hun I really don't know bc I only ever had milk contractions while I was dilating if and on last few weeks. I ended up being induced early :-( if they've gone away though and or haven't gotten worse they could have been real contractions just maybe that your in early stages of dilating and wasn't enough to get like lots of progress to say like 4 or 5 cm for active labor. You could always go to labor and delivery and get checked :-)
