Contractions?

I have been getting menstral like cramps in my lower abdomin since the middle of the night & never thought anything of it until today when I got up they still are going on.
They are about every 13-20 mins
& lasting 35 seconds.
Is this contractions ? Or Braxton hicks?
I'm 39+2 weeks
Haven't lost my mucus plug or anything yet either ?

If they get more intense or closer together at equal or continuously smaller intervals then it is probably active labor. But if they don't get more intense or are sporadic then it's BH.

Definitely sounds like braxton hicks I had that for a week straight and was sent to l&d yesterday to get checked but mainly bc I was having decreased fetal movement yesterday as well so I had a non stress test. She's fine thankfully!:-) That far apart and short lasting sounds exactly what I was experiencing :-) so I wouldn't worry unless you get painful ones and they become much closer together. I was told that and to watch for spotting bleeding discharge etc otherwise no worries :-) hope that helps.

I would say braxton hicks. If they start coming a lot closer like 7min or less then I would assume its labor and head to hospital.  Goodluck :)
