advice

I'm a ftm, 18 years old and 17 weeks, due May 26th, have had two uti's so far and can't seem to figure out exactly what it is that I'm doing that's causing it. Never have had them before pregnancy and been doing the same thing as always, and still very sexually active with my boyfriend, but like I said, still doing the same as before and have never had it. Please help

Ok thank you! Do you know if it could be passed sexually? I know that sex can be a trigger but my boyfriend has been curious

I just had a UTI not long ago ... Nothing to stess over you just have to take better care of yourself  .... Here's how you get rid of it
• Drink 100% pure cranberry juice everyday (dilute it with water it has a tart taste)
• drink lots of water throughout your day
•take dmannose daily ( this you can find via internet or in your local health food store)
Take all of these daily and the UTI should disappear within a week

Keep in mind you cannot eat any sweets as this feeds the infection ......best of luck !

When I was pregnant I had 2 utis, my first one led to a kidney infection and I got hospitalized,  had to get antibiotics thru an iv. But my doctor told me you can get UTIS by not going to the bathroom when you have to.

Lol yes made me smile, thank you ladies!! I do everything right on the books just don't know why, wipe right, pee and shower after sex, just want the symptoms and all to go away, but this helps a lot, thought it was just me! And no ma'am, no caffeine at all

I believe that too if i let my bfs semen stay in me til the nxt morn. I was guaranteed an infection. U want to b lazy after sex but when i had too pee after sex i just washed up (birdbath) then shower in the morn after a while. My first yeast was right when i found out about the bby at 6weeks. Im sure that was my bodys reaction to the change im ftm n ftp. Then i got another one maybe wk 8/10 then i was like f this n been careful since.

I also recently learned i wipe wrong for a female also!! lol girls are suppose to wipe thier private front to back/top to behind. Not back to front!! I was like mom y u didnt tell me!! All these years i found out at work while changing one of my handicap students n the nurse was like hey!! thats not how girls wipe!! I was so embarrassed when she asked me if i was prone to yeast infections. Of course i said No! Lol

An ob told my friend that if you don't clean up or at least pee after sex you can get an infection. Are you drinking caffeine?

Tell ur boyfriend to take a shower he is f'n u up!!! Na mama ijp i say just drink alot of water n cranberry juice especially since u see that u are prone to infection. And wash up more. Take showers and extra birdbaths. Keep yourself clean. I had two yeast infections since being pregnant n now i just seriously stay on top of myself.. 21wks

Don't worry when I had my first daughter I had an yeast infection through out my whole pregnancy, the doctor would give me ointments but it'll never work, he told me if I still had the infection on my due date they'll go ahead and give some antibiotics so it won't harm the baby by coming out, if you're having it natural.
When I had my due date they just put some antibiotics and my daughter came out with no problems.

I know a girl who had recurring uti's her entire pregnancy, some got so bad she would bleed. :/ she gave birth to a healthy baby who is 2 months old now :) just stay hydrated, try cranberry juice (if you can stomach it) and always always tell your doctor, even if You're not sure. :)
