contractions i dont feel?

I am 39 weeks on Monday, i had a biophysical last week and nurse said i was having contractions 3 mins apart and then this week had another test and was still having them, what does that mean?

I was like that also. I had my son on a Tuesday an the Friday before I had a non stress test done at my obgyn office. I wasn't really paying attention to the monitor, when the nurse came in to check on me like 30min later she said.I was contracting like every 2-3 min an I didn't feel.a thing. my dr wsnted me to go to the birthing center the next morning an have another NST done, so I did an I was still contracting every 2-3min an I explained to them that I was fine an I didn't feel anything. They didn't seen too concerned about it or tell me why I wasn't feeling them. That Tuesday I went in for a induction an before they did anything or gave me any drugs they hooked me up to the monitor an I was contracting every 2min lasting 45sec. I didn't start to feel them till they broke my water. It was so strange the nurse's kept asking "how can u not feel that"....weird!!!
