Could I be pregnant? or is this breakthrough bleeding?

I had sex about 8 days ago, and my boyfriend and I used a condom and he pulled out. I am also on YAZ BC pills. I take these pills everyday at times varying between 2-3 hours roughly. Last month I took my placebo pills one day earlier as I had lost one of the pink active tablets and didn't have a replacement. I also had one day between my placebo pill and the next active pill where I didn't take anything as I had to buy a new pack. I took two pills the next day to make up for that.

My period isn't due for another 4 days (thats when i start the placebo pills). Around 6-7 days after having sex I noticed some bleeding down there, which is almost like a light period. It is more than a few drops, and is bright red in colour. No other symptoms are present besides a slight bloated feeling. Could I be pregnant?

You probably just kick started your menstral cycle.
I would bleed a little before or after my menstruation if i had sex. Get used to that.
With all that contraceptive you'll be perfectly fine.
