induced update

Been here 2 hours now, had my ultrasound and been on monitor for 40 minutes. Had my internal and been given a pessary. jUst about to go back on monitor now then be discharged home. To call labour ward at 1030ish tonight with an update and if nothin happens, back tomorrow at 1030am  x

I'm not even you but I'm glad that's over with holy cow. You are a trooper!  Why didn't they just do a section to begin with? Is he okay now heartbeat wise and stuff?

Delivered by emergency c section at 0529am this morning. My waters were broken about at8pm last night and within ten mins i was contracting for 40 reasons every 3 mins tilmidwife noticed a dip in heartbeat, so hooked up to ctg machine again and babys heart bect was dipping too much, it had bad brachycardia and at 11pm i passed out, woke up to a room full of midwifes, a consulamt, and i was hooked up to oxygen.  Was given epidural to take edge off things as baby was still back to back. They took me to theatre at 4am to use forceps to turn baby but heart rate still dropping too much, they got me to push for next two contractions but heart beat got dangerously low so they had to section me.

Baby Logan was born at 0529 weighing 9lbs exactly x

Thanks girls :-) i been stuck at 3cm since Friday and not having any contractionp. They going to break my waters and start me on the drip and crank up the pain killers cause if baby not here in the morning they are giving me a section x

Well Im still here lol. Was on the monitor for an hour then had in internal to see if I've progressed any. Im still only 3cm dilated - that's been 5 days with no progress. Im next in line for a bed in the labour ward, they are going tom break my waters artificially and start me on a drip and pain relief to force labour as only other option is a c section. So fingers crossed x

Yeah am midwife led, doctors don't get involved over here unless high risk. Good news though, getting admitted now for inpatient induction x

Yeah i thnk uv been thro anuf already. Even breakin ur waters might not hurry it along. I take it ur midwife led? Consultent lead u wld hav had baby by now. Makes me want to change to consultent lead x

Bet u jst wish those bloody waters would go. I dont no why they dnt put u on th drip and get it goin. Cos tht cld last another full day.x

I don't know, knowing my luck ill be sent home again, i think they do the gel 6 hourly though, not sure how many doses. I have so much pressure down there its unreal x

Thanks, its been every twenty minutes for a couple hours now so hoping this is it. I've to call labour ward in an hour and a half to update them  as that'll have been 12 hours since ill have had the pessary put in...  X
