Could i be pregnant?

So i had sexual intercourse like 15 daysz ago n i was supposed to get my period approximetly a week later n i didnt.. I just took a pregnacy test yesterday n it said negative but mi friend told me that in order for the test to work i need to wait at least three weeks after intercourse.. Is that true?

Yeah it usually is. Some people take even longer to show up.

two weeks should have been fine.  but... Did u use your first morning urine?  If not, your urine sample could have been diluted, causing a false negative.  You should  use first morning urine, or wait at least 4 hrs between pees.  Don't drink a bunch before either, or that could dilute it too.

Sometimes af is delayed for unknown reasons.  Stressing about it could put it off too.  

Relax.  Take another test in the am.  Good luck!
