Hello,
My question is about likely causes for moderate cramping and body aches (which have lasted for about a week now) that feel much like those that accompany my menstrual cycle but without the presence of blood.
Here are a few details:
I am 23 years old and have been menstruating since I was 13. In those ten years there has been little to no consistency in when I would get my period, how long it would last or how severe the symptoms would be. There has even been times where I would not get my period for a month before it would randomly appear again. I also noticed that my period is greatly influenced by my stress level, which is all over the map as I work through my first semester of grad school. That being said, I have difficulty keeping track of my cycles and often find myself trying to think back to my last cycle when it feels as though it has been awhile since using a tampon (not good I know). But it gets worse.
I have been intently watching for my period since the end of July because my best estimate for my last cycle is for early to mid June. With it approaching mid October, I have not had my period in well over 90 days. As abnormal as my cycles are, this is new for me so I have been periodically taking home pregnancy tests (first response, clear blue) since late August with the most recent having been 2 weeks ago. Four tests have all been negative to this point and like I stated earlier, cramps and body aches have been coming and going in waves for the last week or so now.
I know the best thing would be to go to the clinic and have the blood test done to settle the pregnancy theory but without insurance and having an extreme anxiety for anything doctor related (even the thought of visiting a doctors office makes my pulse race and head get light) I'm looking for any advice that could help clear this up for me without the clinic visit.
So, if you have any ideas for why I am experiencing menstrual symptoms like crapping and body aches as well as an increase in the frequency of pee breaks, I would really like to hear them. I am really starting to worry that something more is going on.
Sorry for the long read but I hoped to be specific in order to consider all of the variables. Thanks in advance for any responses.
