I am sorry I can't give you an actual answer, but I think a bit of common sense is the best approach. IF IT WERE ME I would say go for it, but do not ingest ANY of the water. As for infection happening to baby, as long as your wate isnt broken and you havent lost your mucus plug it should b protected. HOWEVER, bear in mind, that pregnant women get infections in our body more often than non pregnant women. So beware of open cuts, if you have any, and do not be surprised if you were to get a urinary tract infection, only because its so much easier during pregnancy to get one. That is just my own thoughts on the matter, but you won't be the first or last person to swim in a lake while pregnant. If you want a good answer, I would ask your OBGYN
I wouldn't tempt it, not while pregnant. The lakes here have that flesh-eating virus in it so I'm always super cautious about where I go swimming lol
