No tattoos while pregnant.   The ink can get into your blood.  I had to wait to do my cover up for my half sleeve.

All my doctor's say it a totally fine. There is no real risk that you're not risking by getting a tattoo in the first place. It all depends on the artist. I had a big rib piece done when I was pregnant with my third, I didn't know I was pregnant, lol but seriously nothing was different and it healed just fine.

All of what they said is correct plus with you being pregnant, your skin may not take the ink very well and you'll end up like me (albeit I did NOT know I was pregnant at the time that I got it) with a very, very faded tattoo that you'll just have to get redone later. My tattoo guy is one of our closest friends, he does tattoos in his house and even he won't tattoo a pregnant women. I got one on my foot when I was 6 or 7 weeks along, and it faded something serious. I would wait until after you've had your baby!

Your skin is more sensitive so there is a risk you'll pass out, there's a risk of infection, Also your body swells up so your tattoo will most likely stretch and not look like it does when you get it done.

I would not get a tattoo because there is a lot of risk for infection and also you can send your baby into shock. In California any reputable shop will not do any work if you are pregnant. They actually have you sign a paper saying you are not pregnant.
