DONAATING BLOOD WHEN TTC!!!!

HEY TO EVERY1 .....WELL TODAY I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM THE BLOOD BANK..TELLING ME A PATIENT HAS SICKLE CELL ANEMIA..AND THEY NEED MY BLOOD FOR THAT ONE PERSON CUZ I HAVE A VERY RARE BLOOD TYPE...BY ALL MEANS IM WILLING TO HELP OUT..I WAS JUST WONDERING IS IT SAFE TO DO...ALSO I TOOK CLOMID..N I WOULD HATE IF IM HURTING THE PERSON LET ALONE MYSELF...SO IS IT A SAFE CALL?

Giving blood shoulnt effect your ability to conceive.  Your blood will replenish itself very quickly.

If I were you I would call the blood bank and let them know you are on clomid and got a tattoo  six months ago.  You may not be allowed to donate.  You do not need to let them know who you are, just ask if that would prevent you from donating.

THANKS..YEAH MY FIRST ROUND OF CLO..FOR BABY NUMBER 1.I THINK I WILL PASS THIS GO ROUND...I USUALLY GO OUT MY WAY TO GIVE BLOOD BUT I CANT THIS TIME...I HOPE N PRAY THEY GET SOMEONE ELSE..

I would feel bad for not doing it too but you do have to do what's best for you and this is your first round of clomid this month so you could finally be preggers (I hope you are) the tattoo thing gives you a good excuse too lol but just talk to the dr about it to see what is the best thing to do.... Don't let them pressure you tho cause it does have to be what's best for you

I HAVE NO IDEA..BUT I FEEL BAD IF I DO NOT DO IT I FEEL LIKE IM BEING SELFISH....BUT ON THE OTHER HAND I HAVE BEEN TTC ON N OFF FOR ALMOST 3YRS..AND I O THIS WEEKEND OR NEXT WEEK...THE ONLY THING I THINK CAN STOP ME FROM GIVING BLOOD IS THE FACT I GOT A TATTOO AND IT HASNT BEEN A YEAR YET..I GOT IT IN MARCH..OMG..THIS SEEMS SO HARD

I seached it for you and doctors advise against it cause you are trying to concieve and it could hurt your chances.... Did you tell the person you talked to today that you are taking clomid and that your trying to coceive? Will that person die without your blood?
