high hcg? twins?

I went the dr. today (only saw a nurse) and she told me that I was due Jan 5. 2009 (changed from a couple of days ago) but my last blood test I had done my levels were at 642. I was only 4w3d. Is that high? Could that mean i am having twins?

Those #'s sound great.....and my HCG level at 4 wk 3 day was only 292 and at the time I was carrying triplets but now just am having twins.....so it could be but some women just have high HCG levels

Like Joy said levels can different from person to person. I had super high levels and only had one.

There's no way to know about twins unless you see them on ultrasound. Honestly those numbers sound normal!
